Choosing an engagement ring size
A reference ring, fitting and setting confirmation: discreet preparation for a ring-size consultation at NOBLIS in Chisinau.
Begin with the intended finger
The size should correspond to the hand and finger on which the ring will be worn. A ring from another finger may be an unsuitable reference. If you are planning a surprise, tell the atelier before choosing a measuring method. The aim is to obtain useful information without presenting an estimate as a confirmed size.
A reference ring
A ring that already fits the intended finger can be brought to the appointment. The atelier can discuss its size and profile in relation to your chosen design. If using a printed guide, check its stated scale: resized printing or a photograph without a reference cannot provide a reliable measurement.
Setting proportions matter
Explain whether the reference ring is narrow or wide and how it feels on the hand. The inner profile and proportions of the new design are considered together with size. Each partner needs an individual check for wedding bands; a shared design preference does not imply the same ring size.
Confirm before making
The most useful step is a fitting and size confirmation with the atelier for the chosen design. If the size remains an estimate, say so before the order. Do not assume that every setting can be adjusted in the same way after completion.
Resizing a particular design
The stones and construction may affect resizing options. Ask the atelier to confirm the procedure, timing and any cost for your creation. NOBLIS care and interventions are intended for the atelier’s own creations.
A discreet appointment
Save your preferred design and share the information available to you, together with the occasion date. At NOBLIS, the diamond, setting and ring size are part of one conversation. Consultations are by appointment at TORO Center, second floor, Chisinau.
